Our Security Officers are in the front line in the business of customer care. This demands a high level of responsibility and expertise. In the main they fulfil a dual role, acting on behalf of our clients by dealing with their visitors and staff, whilst at the same time carrying out essential security duties.

All Security Officer training consists of a Level 2 qualification in a security related discipline approved by the SIA together with a Level 2 qualification in Conflict Management and where appropriate, Physical Intervention. This is followed by a full induction into Guard Group policies and procedures and the completion of the relevant CRB and Credit checks and the relevant applications for the SIA Licence. We are currently funding personnel on the Essential Skills courses, Apprenticeships and the Team Leadership courses (Institute of Leadership and Management - ILM), giving all Security Officers a wide range of choice in career development.
